| Meet Our Homesteader |
2007 Women Build Recipient Family Claudia Hunt and son Jayvon (5) Claudia grew up in a house that her parents owned and always hoped that she would be able to provide the same opportunity for her son. She currently rents in East Patchogue and feels unsafe due to the conditions of the home. Claudia wants a safe environment for her son where she doesn’t have to worry and Jayvon can play freely. Claudia is grateful to be part of the Habitat family and to have the opportunity to provide a safe, stable place for her son to call home. Claudia has worked for several years as an Office Supervisor for a company involved in the auto auction business. Learning that she was selected for a house on McDonald Avenue in Bellport was very exciting because she grew up in the Bellport area. |
