| Making it Happen...... |
Isn't it great when you step back at the end of the day and take a look at what you've done? I often think I have the best seat in the house because I get to step back and see the look in your eyes and the grin on your face as pride wells up within you as you realize that what you've done is a really great job. Oh sure, we could measure our success by noting that the siding is on straight or that the nails are put in right but anyone who has experienced Women Build surely knows that it doesn't stop there. We are successful in the fact that we come in strangers and leave out friends. We are successful in the fact that we've all learned something new whether a new way of nailing or something about that special person who worked beside us. We are successful in the fact that we work our way through problems together with love and respect. We are successful in the fact that Claudia and Jayvon will have a better life as a result of this day. We are successful in the fact that in this one moment in this one day helping this one family in this one community in this one town we have helped build better lives in all towns in all communities in all families in all days in every moment.
