| No More Roof! |
| WooHoooo....thanks to the efforts of our fearless women build leaders and those who were brave enough to follow them up on the roof, Claudia's house is now fully shingled and we're all back on the ground together. Thanks to all who came out this week to give Claudia a hand in getting her vinyl siding under way. Isn't it remarkable that you can come out here never having touched a piece of siding in your life and leave the site as an expert in the field? Okay okay, maybe not an expert but from what I see you can certainly consider yourselves siding installers. I do want to take this moment to give special thanks to the women build leaders. You've come a long way since that first day of class and have made my days on the site a whole lot easier. I am proud to share in your success and look forward to all the days we have yet to share on the work site. Thanks also to the Girl Scouts for supporting the efforts of Women Build 2007. This week it was muffins, coffee, and hot chocolate for breakfast. Equally important as the food you bring are the joy and smiles you bring to the site. I think I can safely speak for not only myself but the other women when I say that on the days the Girl Scouts come out to the house my hammer seems to feel a whole lot lighter. Thanks to all for another wonderful day at Women Build. No matter what your role, I appreciate each and every one of you. Hope to see you again soon...... ~Cindy |
